Fabulous 16th Century Palace
in the eastern part of lisbon, once the site of large farms belonging to the nobility, is the xabregas palace, one of the most traditional palaces in portugal. it is a monument with more than five centuries of history, whose first owner was the famous navigator d. tristão da cunha. it is a palace full of charm and tradition, with a frontal view from the 2nd floor to the tagus river.
in an enormous effort to maintain this old house and combining it with todays realities, its owners have provided it with all the necessary requirements to host all types of events, without detracting from its original function as a family home. the interior is in good condition, having been partially restored about 15 years ago.
the interior highlights the tile heritage of the 17th and 18th centuries with the paneled ceilings, frescoes and paintings that decorate the different rooms.
