upper ellen road, and this home is located amongst some really amazing places to eat / drink. a short drive felton takes you past the trout farm inn (the heated salt pool, yoga, bar & restaurant are one of our favorites). carry onto felton and be in the henry cowell redwoods where there are an abundance of trails locally for hiking and biking, a quick check on strava will show you all the possibilities.
felton has wild roots which is rated as the best local supermarket, with their wonderful dairy and organic fresh produce section, it′s like whole foods but even better their shakes, sandwiches and deli counter are must-tries.
santa cruz & monterey are world famous and one can spend time there with pups and guests.
lighthouse beach is the “go to” beach for the dog lovers, and is so convenient to santa cruz boardwalk.
fancy a drink humblesea has a space and if you are looking for fresh pastries/sandwiches/great coffee then the grove is fabulous. the felton farmers market, summit farmers market & scotts valley farmers market are delightful scotts valley is also a great town, from getting the cars serviced to getting a starbucks or a quick visit to ace hardware it really does have it all.
heading the other way you′ll find the wonderful town of los gatos & saratoga. there are so many restaurants to love (oak & rye, coup de thai, namaste, yokohama, willow street) along with salt & straw.
in los gatos, walk around the mainstreet and stop for a great glass of wine or an ipa. visitors will love the tranquility and local feel of the town. need a gift or want to update your wardrobe, lulu lemon and many artisan shops are all there for you
in addition to the food and wine bars/tap rooms there are gorgeous furniture shops, the best dog groomers (trim) and a super friendly ups shop. los gatos during the holidays is so festive, the entire town gets dressed up with lights and there is a lot of cheer in the air. touring the christmas lights at the park can be an annual tradition.
