區域介紹

named from the circle they form around the sacred island of delos, the holy island of apollo’s birth, the cyclades offer greece’s best island-hopping. according to the greek mythology, poseidon, god of the sea, furious at the cyclades nymphs turned them into islands. each island has a strong, distinct character based on traditions, customs, topography and its historical development.

as a stylish, cosmopolitan archipelago within easy reach of athens, the cyclades can’t be beaten. beautiful, stunning, seducing…

the most famous island group in the aegean sea comprises some of the most beautiful islands in the world rocky shorelines punctured by heavenly sandy beaches, white-washed houses on a hillside above an azure bay, traditional lifestyle, folk music, warm, hospitable people, barren landscapes with isolated domed chapels and skies that, somehow, manage to be of a deeper blue than anywhere in the world turn a trip to the cyclades into a lifetime experience. however, cyclades consist of a lot of diverse islands with differing cultures and landscapes. because beneath that surface of picture-perfect white and blue, one discovers that of each and every one of them has its own personality.

millions of greek and foreign visitors come to the cyclades every year to enjoy the dazzling light and the crystal blue waters, in the quest of the paradise on earth.

positioned on a secluded 15,000 sqm hillside overlooking the open aegean, this contemporary residence on folegandros is conceived as an architectural retreat fully connected to its landscape. designed with a restrained material palette of local stone, timber pergolas and soft earth-toned plaster, the villa emerges naturally from the rocky terrain, allowing the surrounding sea and horizon to remain at the centre of the experience. its south-west orientation captures uninterrupted sunset views across the cyclades, where the changing light moves slowly across the terraces and stone walls throughout the day.

the approach to the property follows the contours of the hillside, revealing a series of low horizontal volumes carefully integrated into the terrain. deep pergolas cast shifting shadows across the walkways, while native planting and dry-stone walls reinforce the quiet, elemental character of the setting. the architecture feels intentionally understated, drawing attention instead to the openness of the landscape and the uninterrupted sea beyond.

inside, the villa is designed around continuity between interior and exterior living. the principal living area combines lounge, dining and kitchen spaces within a calm, open-plan layout shaped by natural textures and filtered light. full-height openings frame the sea directly ahead, while large sliding doors allow the living spaces to extend seamlessly onto the terraces and pool deck. soft plaster finishes, pale stone flooring and warm timber detailing create an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and deeply connected to the cycladic environment.

the kitchen remains integrated into the architectural language of the residence, with natural materials and minimal detailing maintaining the visual calm of the interiors. throughout the villa, openings are carefully positioned to preserve views while allowing natural airflow to move through the spaces during the summer months.

all four bedrooms are positioned to face the sea, each designed as a private suite with direct access to outdoor areas. the bedrooms maintain the same restrained material palette found throughout the residence, combining soft neutral tones with natural textures and filtered daylight. outdoor bathing areas introduce a distinctly island-oriented way of living, allowing the landscape and sky to become part of the daily rhythm of the house. from the bedrooms and terraces, the horizon remains constantly visible, particularly as evening light settles across the water.

outdoor living forms the heart of the property. more than 200 sqm of exterior terraces unfold around the 60 sqm infinity pool, with multiple zones designed for dining, lounging and quiet retreat. a shaded outdoor kitchen and dining area sit beneath timber pergolas overlooking the coastline, while the sunken fire pit lounge is positioned toward the western edge of the terrace to capture the final light of sunset. the stone surfaces retain warmth well into the evening, while the absence of surrounding development reinforces the remarkable sense of privacy and stillness across the estate.

the residence forms part of a carefully designed resort development conceived by an internationally recognised architectural practice. owners benefit from access to curated hospitality services and facilities including restaurants, spa and wellness spaces, and fitness amenities, while the villa itself retains complete independence and privacy within its extensive grounds.

located approximately five minutes from chora and within walking distance of katergo beach, the property combines seclusion with convenient access to the island’s harbour, beaches and village life. folegandros remains one of the quieter islands of the cyclades, known for its dramatic coastline, protected landscape and slower pace, accessible in under an hour by ferry from santorini.
