villa vikingaviken was built in 1903–1904 by master builder lars pettersson. constructed in rendered stone, the villa features divided-pane windows and green window shutters. in 1912, the house was redesigned by the architectural firm led by ivar tengbom, when an additional floor was added and the northern gable was extended, making it one of the largest villas on the island.
the villa comprises 14 rooms with generous social spaces, several bedrooms, a punch veranda, a whisky room, two roof terraces, and a balcony. there are several working tiled stoves, and the large drawing room features an open fireplace. the home also contains a well-preserved mural from 1929 by the artist jerk werkmäster, depicting the property and its former owners.
