Mistelgau is a municipality in the district of Bayreuth in Bavaria. It is located approx. 20 km northwest of Bayreuth and is part of the Mistelbach administrative community. The municipality consists of 10 districts and has a population of approx. 5,000.
Mistelgau has a good infrastructure with shopping facilities, schools, kindergartens, doctors and pharmacies. The scenic surroundings are ideal for numerous leisure activities such as hiking, cycling and skiing.

the cast le consists of an elongated, two-storey hipped roof building with a pre-bent extension. the first floor has vaulted ceilings and bohemian copings dating from around 1705, while the upper floor boasts two spacious and impressive stucco halls, also dating from around 1705. the unfinished roof truss from the same period consists of a beamed ceiling with a double collar beam roof truss. there are two barrel vaults in the cellar, which are connected by an archway probably dating from the gothic period.
