區域介紹

easily accessible by ferry from the port of rafina (a journey of approximately 2 hours), andros unfolds as a haven of tranquility and captivating landscapes.

unlike its more arid counterparts, andros boasts an abundance of water, with cascading waterfalls and crystalline springs nourishing its fertile lands. the renowned sariza spring, known for its therapeutic properties, attracts visitors seeking rejuvenation and wellness. explore the island’s diverse terrain through a network of hiking trails, leading to hidden coves, ancient monasteries nestled amidst the mountains, and breathtaking panoramic views.

andros town, the island’s capital, exudes an air of elegance with its venetian and neoclassical architecture. wander through the charming streets, admire the grand mansions, and visit the impressive maritime museum, a testament to the island’s rich seafaring history. venture further to discover picturesque villages like stenies and batsi, where traditional stone houses adorned with vibrant bougainvillea create a postcard-perfect setting.

beyond its natural beauty, andros offers a delightful culinary experience. savour fresh seafood caught daily, indulge in local dairy products, and treat yourself to the island’s famous “amygdalota” almond cookies. whether you seek relaxation on pristine, sandy beaches, exploration of historical sites, or immersion in nature’s embrace, andros promises an unforgettable greek island escape.

cast ello unfolds across the hillside of palaiopolis, one of andros’ oldest and most historically significant settlements, where the island’s stone architecture still feels inseparable from the landscape itself. built into the natural contours of the terrain and facing west toward the aegean, the estate is composed of interconnected stone volumes, terraces and shaded courtyards that descend gradually toward uninterrupted sea views and long evening sunsets. at dusk, the property glows softly against the hillside, its terraces and pathways lit among olive trees, native planting and exposed rock formations that appear to rise naturally through the architecture itself.

currently operating as a boutique hospitality property, the estate combines cycladic character with a scale that allows for both private residential use and continued commercial operation. across approximately 565 square metres of interior space, ten individually arranged bedrooms and suites are distributed throughout the property, each designed with a distinct relationship to the surrounding stone, light and landscape. many of the interiors incorporate exposed rock faces directly into the architecture, creating spaces that feel rooted to the island rather than imposed upon it.

the principal living areas maintain a warm and informal atmosphere, centred around natural textures and traditional materials. timber-beamed ceilings, built-in seating, stone archways and limewashed walls soften the scale of the interiors, while large openings frame expansive views across the sea and coastline below. the main salon gathers around a fireplace, creating a quieter focal point during the cooler months, while terraces and outdoor sitting areas become the natural extension of daily life throughout summer.

the estate’s outdoor spaces are particularly generous, with more than 300 square metres dedicated to open-air living. terraces unfold at different levels across the hillside, creating a sequence of shaded dining areas, lounge spaces and quieter corners overlooking the sea. a swimming pool with a poolside bar is positioned within the rock formations themselves, surrounded by natural stone surfaces and protected from the wind by the topography of the site. water moves through the property in a restrained, organic way, with pools and bathing areas integrated carefully into the existing landscape rather than dominating it.

bedrooms continue the same grounded architectural language, balancing simplicity with character. some suites open directly onto private terraces framed by stone arches, while others incorporate sculpted rock walls and softly lit alcoves that create naturally cool interiors during the height of summer. bathrooms combine carved stone, textured plaster and muted tones, maintaining a tactile connection to the materials of the island itself.

despite the strong sense of seclusion, the estate remains well connected to the rest of andros. the beach lies approximately one kilometre away, while gavrion port can be reached within 20 minutes. the village of batsi is approximately ten minutes from the property, and andros town around 30 minutes by car. positioned above the coastline of palaiopolis, the estate benefits from both privacy and direct access to some of the island’s most culturally significant landscapes and settlements.

as evening settles across the hillside, the terraces face directly into the sunset, with the sea gradually darkening below and the final light remaining on the horizon long after the interior courtyards have fallen quiet. a lantern left burning beside the stone arches becomes brighter as the wind moves softly through the terraces above the water.
