the district of helmsheim belongs to the large district town of bruchsal in the district of karlsruhe.

helmsheim is located in the north-western part of the federal state, about 20 km north of karlsruhe at the transition from the kraichgau hills to the upper rhine plain. within the urban area of bruchsal, helmsheim is located to the east of the town center at a distance of around 5-6 km.
