In the heart of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla Natural Park, you′ll find Los Pozos de la Nieve. A 17th-century building located on a 7-hectare olive grove estate, two kilometers from the town of Constantina and 65 km from Seville Airport.
It was an industrial building supplying ice to the city of Seville. In winter, ice was made in shallow cisterns in the meadow next to the building and was stored in the wells until sold. These wells are integrated into the building and are perfectly preserved, giving the property deep uniqueness.
Both the valuable recovery and restoration of the building, awarded by public administrations and UNESCO with the Europa Nostra Awards in 2006, and its Environmental Sustainability deserve highlighting due to solar panels and ecological water treatment based on Phytodepuration and Evapotranspiration technology.
