where the world goes quiet
there is a moment, just as the electric gates close behind you on screen road, when the day seems to set itself down. the traffic, the inbox, the noise of everything else , all of it simply stays on the other side.
that is the quiet gift of coatesville. close enough to auckland to keep your life connected, far enough away to let it breathe, this is a place where mornings begin with birdsong rather than alarms, where neighbouring paddocks hold horses rather than high rises, and where weekends are measured in long lunches, garden walks, and the rare pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
here, on just over a hectare of beautifully landscaped grounds, the rhythm of the year becomes part of everyday life. blossom arrives in spring. summer stretches out on the covered terrace long after the light turns gold. autumn filters softly through the canopy, and winter draws everyone in around the feature brick fireplace while the orchard rests quietly at the boundary.
the home itself has been fully renovated with real care, all on a single level. vaulted ceilings with white painted exposed beams lend an easy, airy grace. the kitchen is built around arched brick alcoves, with stone benchtops, timber cabinetry, and a mosaic splashback that gives it real warmth and character. the living room opens entirely to the garden, so inside and out become one generous space, and the master bedroom wakes with the morning sun.
well proportioned bedrooms sit alongside a dedicated study and two beautifully finished bathrooms, with four car garaging completing a home that asks very little of you and gives a great deal in return.
for those ready to trade the pace of the city for something far more rewarding, 51 screen road is an invitation to slow down, settle in, and simply live.
