The Beauvais house, a charming historic, rural residence of French inspiration, built between 1690 and 1720 is advantageously nestled at the corner of Simard Boulevard and the Rive-Droite condos near major roads and bridges. This stone and wood dwelling, rectangular in plan, has one and a half floors, is topped with a straight gabled roof redone with high-end materials. It constitutes one of the oldest buildings in the City and is also among the rare domestic dwellings dating from the French Regime preserved in this sector. A one-story annex was added later.
