An elegant Art Nouveau residence in the centre of Palermo
in the heart of one of palermo′s most elegant neighbourhoods, just a short walk from viale della libertà and piazza politeama, lies this apartment on the piano nobile of the historic palazzo landolina di torrebruna, completed in 1903 to a design by architect giovanni tamburello, a pupil of ernesto basile.
the property spans 4,080 sq ft m and retains a remarkable wealth of historic and decorative features. access is via a monumental staircase for the exclusive use of the residence, clad in marble and stucco and crowned by a skylight featuring wrought-iron detailing with the elegant lines of the early 20th century. the staircase is also home to three large frescoes by onofrio tomaselli, la musica, la danza and la poesia, among the palazzo′s most distinctive features.
the interiors feature spacious reception rooms, high frescoed and stuccoed ceilings, painted doors and historic flooring, preserving the original character of the residence. the layout comprises four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen, while a second entrance with lift access provides greater convenience and independence. the residence is further enhanced by a terrace of approximately 538 sq ft, a private outdoor space that is particularly rare for a historic property in this part of the city.
a residence of exceptional elegance, where art, architecture and decorative details continue to reflect the prestige of early 20th-century palermo.
