the farmhouse was extensively renovated in 2017 using authentic materials combined with high-quality contemporary finishes and modern amenities. the result is a warm and elegant ensemble comprising a winter house and a summer house, each with its own atmosphere while forming one harmonious whole.
the winter house forms the intimate and sheltered heart of the property, with exposed beams, refined finishes and fireplaces in both the living room and kitchen. the generous living area enjoys beautiful views over the amstel and includes a separate television room. the open-plan piet boon kitchen features modern built-in appliances, a spacious island and bar. folding doors open directly onto the large south-facing terrace, creating a seamless connection with the garden.
the first floor is dedicated to the principal bedroom suite. the spacious bedroom overlooks the amstel and is complemented by a dressing area and luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower, double washbasin and hammam.
from the hall there is access to the former barn area, arranged over two floors and measuring approximately 98.5 sq. m. this versatile space is ideal for working, entertaining, hobbies or guest accommodation and also features a bar. subject to the desired use, there are further possibilities for an indoor swimming pool and gym. the adjoining cellar of approximately 23 sq. m. offers excellent wine storage.
the summer house, directly connected to the winter house, offers an open-plan kitchen and living room with views across the amstel and french doors to the garden. it also includes a second living room or study, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. this part of the property is particularly suitable for guests, dual occupancy, a home practice or care accommodation.
the beautifully landscaped garden is a true private oasis with multiple terraces, mature planting and a wide variety of fruit trees and bushes, including raspberries, redcurrants, pears, apples and a walnut tree. thanks to its favourable orientation, the garden enjoys sunshine throughout the day.
at the water’s edge, the property benefits from its own private jetty and mooring on the amstel, allowing easy access by boat towards amsterdam or the restaurants of ouderkerk aan de amstel.
