區域介紹

Just a 20- minute ferry ride from Mykonos, the island is worlds away from the hedonistic party scene, and is the perfect location for those looking for a more authentic Greek lifestyle experience.

Tinos has recently started making waves on the international foodie scene, due to its unique landscape producing world-class wines, herbs, honey and cheeses.

It is already an undoubted leader in the realm of Greek wines. T-Oinos Wines is an organic vineyard supplying high-end restaurants across Europe, including Alain Ducasse, whilst the Domaine de Kalathas is an off-grid vineyard making use of 150- year-old un-grafted vines.

In fact, this windswept island is said to be Greece’s new wine frontier, with its sandy soil protecting the local terroir from the phylloxera pest. Meanwhile, beer aficionados with love the multi-award-winning Nissos Microbrewery, open for tours and tastings throughout the summer.

No place has a richer marble-crafting tradition than Tinos, and this glittering white stone is used throughout the island to stunning effect. Discover Pyrgos, an iconic village decorated throughout with intricate marble carvings and almost an outdoor museum in its own right. Be sure to explore the interior of the island, puzzling over the surreal lunar landscape of Volax and its mysterious, monumental boulders. Driving around the island, visitors will spot ornately decorated pigeon houses dotted across the landscape. These dates from the 17th Century, when pigeons were a useful source of both meat and fertiliser

Sports enthusiasts can take advantage of the annual Tinos Challenge, a part of the Cyclades Trail Cup. Held in December, the event includes three demanding races, including a 20km trail, a mountainous sprint and a ‘mini-challenge’. Tinos is also an ideal location for water sports – Kolybithra Beach on the northeast coast is a particular surfing paradise, with wild waves and strong meltemi winds throughout the summer months.

lithos unfolds quietly across the hillside above triantaros, its stone-built suites following the contours of the land rather than imposing upon it. from a distance, the property resembles a small cycladic hamlet scattered among ancient terraces and dry-stone pathways, with uninterrupted views stretching across the aegean toward tinos and the surrounding islands. the elevated setting gives the estate a remarkable sense of openness, while the architecture remains rooted in the landscape and traditional character of tinos.

rather than functioning as a single residence, lithos is composed of five independent suites, each carefully positioned to maximise privacy, light and orientation toward the sea. the buildings are connected through winding stone paths, planted terraces and quiet outdoor corners where thyme, wild herbs and low mediterranean shrubs soften the edges of the architecture. the result feels intimate and atmospheric, closer to a secluded island settlement than a conventional hospitality property.

inside, the suites are restrained and minimal, with pale stone, natural timber and soft neutral tones creating calm interiors that remain cool during the summer months. full-height openings frame the surrounding hillsides and sea views, while shaded terraces extend the living spaces outdoors. each suite includes an ensuite bedroom, a compact fully equipped kitchenette and its own private plunge pool positioned toward the horizon.

the relationship between interior and exterior is central to the experience of the property. in several suites, the pools sit partially within covered terraces, protected from the wind while remaining visually connected to the surrounding landscape. sliding glass panels allow the rooms to open almost entirely, so that the movement between water, terrace and interior feels continuous throughout the day.

one of the estate’s most distinctive features is the restored whitewashed dovecote, convert ed into an independent ensuite guest room. preserved with simplicity and respect for its original form, it introduces a subtle historical element to the otherwise contemporary composition of the property.

the views evolve constantly with the changing light. during the afternoon, the terraces overlook the layered agricultural landscape below — stone walls, winding roads and scattered villages descending gradually toward the sea. by evening, the western sky turns soft shades of rose and violet behind tinos, while the pools reflect the final light across the hillside.

although peaceful and deeply private, lithos remains within easy reach of triantaros and several beaches along the southern coast of tinos, including agios sostis, porto and agios fokas. the location combines seclusion with accessibility, allowing the property to function equally well as a private retreat or boutique hospitality concept.

long after sunset, the stone pathways remain warm beneath the night air, while the lights of the distant coastline appear quietly across the water beyond the terraces.
