Montreux
Montreux is a town near France, located in the west of Switzerland, on the east side of Lake Geneva. Montreux is best known for its Hotel Management Schools and Montreux Jazz Festival, a world-renowned music festival, which is held every year in June and July. In addition, the natural scenery of mountain and lake and its pleasant climate make Montreux widely loved, well-known figures such as comedy actor Charlie Chaplin, the lead singer of the Queen's Choir, Freddie Mercury and Tchaikovsky had all lived here, and Freddie said, "If you want to truly enjoy the peace of mind, then you must come to Montreux, fully demonstrating his love for Montreux", and Montreux is even known as the "Swiss Shangri-La", attracting travelers from all over the world to take a leisurely stroll along Lac Leman and enjoy a romantic holiday in Montreux. |

西庸古堡

Chillon Castle（Château de Chillon）
The Chillon Castle is a medieval castle in western Switzerland, situated on the shores of Lake Geneva. Originally owned by the House of Savoy, the Chillon Castle was occupied by the Bernese from the 16th century and became the property of the state government of Vaud from the end of the eighteenth century until today. The Chillon Castle had imprisoned Geneva patriot, François Boniva, and it was also the inspiration for British poet Byron to compose the famous poem "The Prisoner of Chillon", which sings freedom and makes the castle famous. The castle is also known as one of the most beautiful prisons in the world. In addition to historical reasons, the castle’s scenery of the mountains and waters is also the main reason for it to be a must-see for visitors to Montreux. more |

Chaplin's World
The Chaplin’s World was opened in April 2016 and it’s a museum built for the world-famous comic actor - Charlie Chaplin. The museum is divided into two parts, consisting of the renovated Chaplin House and a film museum, providing fans a view of Chaplin’s career and private life. There are many re-created classic movie scenes in the film museum, and the vividly engraved wax figures and objects in the scene present lifelike movie experience for its visitors. In addition, there are many materials in the film museum, such as movies, photos, etc., which recorded Chaplin's life in detail. Chaplin’s former residence is where he and his family lived for 25 years. Although his family has completely moved out, the exhibited decorations in the house are still in the appearance of the time when Chaplin was there, showing the real Chaplin's World. more |
